The day he met her

He will give up his passion for cooking, all because he wanted to be with her. He was already receiving much in Singapore but he is contemplating of moving to Cebu for her. He was a well established chef- a good one with his craft.

He met her 7 years ago. It was a warm afternoon. He was walking his way to the nearest fast food. Darn, he was so hungry from working and training all day. He worked at this photocopy store while completing his culinary training. Months from now he will graduate and he will finally get to work in top restaurants. That was the dream, he wanted to cook for the world. When he got inside the store, it was jam-packed with people. He doubted if he can get a seat but he took the risked anyway. He’d rather eat standing than walk around and find another dining place. After ordering a simple meal of chicken and spaghetti, he roamed around looking for a spare seat. It took him 3 minutes before someone tapped him near his butt, “Hi! I am willing to share seats if it’s okay with you.” When he turned around, he looked at the most beautiful and sincere smile. His heart skipped a bit. For 5 seconds he stared at her. She smiled again and they talked all evening.

He smiled looking back to that wonderful day he met her. Remembering her smile, his heart still skips a beat. She still affects him even after years has passed and even miles away.

“Love, it knows no distance and knows no time.”

Every one agrees that life is fleeting. And that life is change. It never stays the same. I am a believer of choice, of opportunities embraced and lost, I dictate what happens to me. This makes me hopeful, makes me dream, gives me courage and clears my realm. And I hope to share how change affects my life.
