When Mommy Get Sick

I have never felt this kind of flu all my life. I am light-headed, my bones feel like they are about to break (maybe I am bit exaggerating on this one), my back hurts, my nose is malfunctioning and my brain is blocked. I have had this cold and running nose for days now, but yesterday it became worse. It became worse on one of my most special day of the year (yes, I have more than 1 special day because I have more than 1 special person). I am worried as hell right now, I worry for the dishes, the dirty floors and not to mention my work. Who will cook and feed my noisy and cute daughter? In other words, mommy shouldn’t get sick but sadly mommies are humans, too! 🙂

So there, I am in front of the kitchen table and not wanting to do anything but stare at my monitor. I wanted to lay down but I get more stressed of the worries I mentioned above. My daughter, still haven’t taken her bath and it’s almost noon, is staring in front of the kick-ass TV watching Toy Story the first one for the first time. My husband who is also busy with work has no choice but to go to the pharmacy and supermarket to buy me medicines and food to cook.

My vitamin C overdose did not work, it wouldn’t work if I don’t rest. I can’t rest, I can’t relax when no one else can take care of all the hullabaloo that mommies do. Where is help? Where is help when you need it the most?

Every one agrees that life is fleeting. And that life is change. It never stays the same. I am a believer of choice, of opportunities embraced and lost, I dictate what happens to me. This makes me hopeful, makes me dream, gives me courage and clears my realm. And I hope to share how change affects my life.

  1. whoa… get some rest and drink tea. I don’t know why I said that, but tea helps me relax and get in that feel-the-breeze-on-my-face kind of chill. A hot bath also helps, even though I use a kabo and not a tub (we all so wish to have). Remember, you are in a healthy environment–with fresh air and fresh produce. Get well soonest! Give my love to the cute and noisy kid. 🙂
